Mum found out they was expecting in May 2011. The pregnancy was looked after under the consultant as the pregnancy was of high risk but everything was fine throughout the pregnancy with extra scans performed. At 5 months into the pregnancy they was told they were having a baby boy, they was estatic as was his big brother Jayden. They named their little baby 'Jenson'.

At 34 weeks mum no longer needed extra care and was discharged to the community midwife. At 36 weeks on the 16th December 2011 mum went into labour in the afternoon. Mum was told to make her way to the hospital later on and once they arrived in the delivery suite and placed on to the CTG machine, the midwife struggled with the equipment to find a heartbeat. A second midwife was brought in to help find a heartbeat with a hand held doppler and then a doctor performed a scan. They were told the devastating news at 9.00pm that their baby boy had died in the womb.

Mum still had to give birth to her baby, after her body had recovered from the shock of being told such devastating news, her labour would start naturally again. In the bereavement suite at the hospital family started to make their way to hospital to support mum and dad through the labour and staff were helpful in making mum feel as comfortable as possible.

 At 23.40pm on the 16th December 2011

Jenson Paul Steven Rigby

was born beautifully asleep and

placed into his mummy's arms for a while

but he holds a piece of her heart always.
